For Fanksgibing, we had a Kody!

For Fanksgiving, mah friend Kody came to stay wif us since his Mommy was going out of town.  You member Kody from when he came wif his brother, Moe?  Kody stayed with us for a week.  He was pretty good for a puppy head.  He didn't give me any issues, but I fink dat Mom got a little frustrated a few times wifs him.  He always made up for it wif kisses though.  Mom lubs puppy kisses.

Kody and I were waiting in my house for treats!

Kody is "broken" and gets up on the furniture, but Mom doesn't mind.
I think Kody thought the sun was too bright in this picture.

Den, one night, Kody was in bed wif Mom and he put his butt up to her face.
Luckily, he didn't habs no stinky butt leaks dat night.

Me and Kody on our walk.

Kody napping and looking out the window for squirrels.

Mom laid down for a nap one evening and Kody used her butt for a pillow!

Merry Christmas from Kody!!

Kody doesn't usually like peanut butters, but this day, he surprised us all!

Kody usin' Mom's arm as a chin pillow.

Oh, you were sitting here?  Not no mores.  -Kody

Kody gibin Mom lubins.

Kody being a puppy head.

We were really excited about rawhide sticks.  REALLY EXCITED.

I didn't like this.

Let me explain that last picture.  You see, what happened was..  Dad got this "good idea" from Kody being on the furnitures that I wanted to be on the furnitures so while he was on Skype with Mom, he suggested that she put me up on the bed...  and she did it.  Mom had to literally lift me up on the bed and..  I.didn't.like.it.one.bit.ever.  I pretty much just stood on the bed frozen.  Mom had Kody hop up on the bed so she could take this picture.  Then, she left.  SHE LEFT ME ON THE BED GUYS!!  I didn't know how to get down.  Dad was still watching on Skype but Mom went out of the bedroom and so did Kody and I was standing on the bed scared cause I didn't know how to get down!  Mom kept saying jump down, which is also what she says when I get out of the car, but this was NOT the same.  Nope, nope, nope.

Eventually, I laid down again.  Then I stood up again.  Mom was watching all this from the kitchen.  When she opened the door and crinkled the carrots bag, I knew that I had a decision to made.  I didn't like it, but I jumped off the bed and went straight to Mom to get my carrots.  She gave me lots of carrots that day because I had been so patient and good.

The lesson is, don't EVER listen to Dad's "good ideas."  They aren't really good ideas.  He also put me up on the couch when he came back home with us for a few days in November.  I didn't like that either.  I don't like slippery or squishy surfaces where I'm standing/walking.  Serious.  I don't.

What's that smell?

My favorite thing to do is play "what's that smell" with Mom.

This photo demonstrates the best position to take when playing this game.
1.  This makes you look innocent.  No one will even think it's you if you're sleepin.
2.  You're aiming the right way when you lay with your butt towards your person.

This game is also what Mom calls "The Gas Leak."

Sometimes, this game gets rather flatulent and makes me look at my butt suspiciously.  But, I know, for certain, that this "Gas Leak" or "the smell" don't come from me.

I'm a gentleman.  Don't you forget it.

Back seat hammock.. just for me!

I'm not a big jumper.  Sometimes I like to pretend and rear back on my hind legs and put my front paws on Mom to show her how excited I am about going outside, but I refuse to jump.  I'm not allowed on the furniture, so there's that.. and the zoom-zoomer (car) is a scary place of slip-and-slides so I don't like to even get into that thing!

Mom still forces me in and I fight her every step of the way.  She's tried to make it better on me, like the first day we came home together she put down a blanket in the backseat for me, which was still really slippery.  Then she tried a different blanket, same story, different day.

Then Mom tried to be clever.. and put me in the back, back of her Sportage.  Ha.ha.lady.  That didn't work out.  She felt super guilty with me crammed in the back like that.  In the photo I was sitting, which I don't do well or comfortably, eventually I just laid down, but when she put me in the back and closed the hatch, she bumped my head cause I'm just too big!

Find Teh Phil!
Big dog in a little car!
PS.  The slobber on the seat is pretty gross.
Mom then started researching different ways of helping me be more comfortable during zoom-zoom rides.  She'd seen a back seat hammock for pets on Pinterest (she loves that website) and thought that could be a pretty clever idea.  She bought one from Amazon and it was waiting in the mailbox the day she picked me up from Monica's care.

I like it much better than the blankets or the back.  I can lay down and stretch out comfortably.  Standing up and moving around is still pretty tedious and I shake a lot, but I don't get thrown on the floor anymore if Mom has to slam on the breaks... or when Mom doesn't see the light turn green (cause she's taking pics of me being cute) and she slams on the gas..

So this is how I spend my rides now:

This is what Mom calls my "creeper stare"..  What, Mom?!  I'm just interested in absolutely everything you might possibly do.  Duh.

Fine, I won't look at you for pictures anymore!
These photos might have been the ones where Mom had to slam on the gas before she got honked at (sometimes she forgets she's not still in Bahrain) since the light had been green for several seconds and she was just sitting there not paying attention, holding up traffic.  She can't help how cute I am, people!

Today is my 2nd Meet & Greet at Petco in Lexington Park (I don't acknowledge the line between California, MD and Lexington Park, MD).  I'm pretty excited, but now I need to get to napping so that way I can be ready for all the pettins and treats headed my way.  Mom already prepped me with extra yogurt this morning to combat my room-clearing gas....
